LEGANES, Iloilo - Nearly three decades following its humble beginnings, the Apex
Club of Leganes – which solely consists of dedicated young men – has
once again indulged in another monumental step.
For the first
time, the Club recruited and inducted Lady Apexians coming from the
ranks of its Bursary Scholars, marking their entry to the roster of the
Association of Apex Clubs Philippines.
Whendy Joy
Guardialao and Glaizon Caldeo carry the honor of being the first Lady
Apexians and Bursary Scholars to join the Apex Club of Leganes.
Guardialao is graduating with a degree in nursing, while Caldeo will finish with a degree in tourism next year.
Club President
Alain Pulmones said their latest move demonstrates the importance they
give to the role women have in the society.
“Community
service is not limited or exclusive for men alone. We should involve
everybody in the community – men and women,” he said.
Guardialao and
Caldeo, along with the other Bursary Scholars of the Club, have been
actively participating in various community activities and initiatives
done recently.
